What is going on in North Korea?
To me, I think it is obvious.
The North Korean leader is in the process of stepping down (or is in ill health or has already died?) which means this is the biggest possible moment for a coup attempt.
In order to protect against any challenge to power, the North Korean leaders are doing what they always do. They ramp up the patriotic warmongering in order to frighten the people with tales of American attacks and invasions. This makes the people scared and supportive of the current leaders.
The American "news" reporters certainly don't understand this. I have heard many news reporters talk about North Korea and I have yet to hear them tie together the warmongering actions with the possible change in power that is happening.
Yes, this is the same news media that took the Iraq talking points hook, line, and sinker form the Bush Administration.
