 The campaign money (on both sides) is largely due to the Republican Supreme Court ruling that corporations, unions, etc... are equivilent to citizens. The main problem with that is that these organizations never die, have massive resources and can easily dominate our political process. This means that "we the people" no longer have the main influence over our political system.See More

Democratic Vs. Plutocratic Campaigns & Elections

The word plutocracy is used to describe a government that is ruled by money. The good thing in the U.S. is that people are not able to buy a position of power. The bad thing is that campaigns and elections are primarily influenced by money. We are headed down a path of plutocracy. The Supreme Court ruled that unlimited anonymous donations are legal. That is a giant leap toward plutocracy. I prefer democracy. We should elect the people who are best qualified to lead our nation. Not the people…See More
