I was flipping through the channels tonight and decided to stop and see what Glen Beck was talking about. It didn't take long for me to decide that he really sucks and I never needed to stop on his program ever again.

He was talking about a report by a European Commission that said that eating less meat would reduce global warming because a lot of water and energy goes into producing each ounce of meat.

Viewers of Fox News are more likely to have the worng information about healthcare.

This is a bad thing for the healthcare debate, but it also reminds me of how bad misinformation can be when we are talking about issues of war and peace.

Fox News viewers thought Iraq had something to do with 9/11 at a higher rate than other Americans. Holding this mistaken view made it easier to support the invasion of Iraq shortly after 9/11.

April 15th is the day Republicans have decided to have "tea parties" to protest the government taking money and spending it on things they don't agree with.

I turned on Fox News last night to see what the right wing media company was talking about. Each program and many of the commercial promos were about the tea parties.

People who read my blog know that I am pushing to rid the United States of our last remaining media monopolies. I don't mind large media companies, but I do object to the cable television monopoly that only allows us to access a limited number of channels with a limited amount of content.

I love the internet because lots of people can broadcast their content in an open and comeptitive environment. I think the internet is good for consumers, producers, content, democracy, capitalism, etc...

I was really happy to hear a reporter ask President Obama if he will lift the ban on taking photos of troop coffins returning from war.

I hope President Obama lifts the ban on showing one of the costs of waging war.

The ban was put in place in 1991 by then Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney.

If anyone reading this has any influence in Washington D.C., please do whatever you can to get this ban lifted.
