What Is This Feed?
The Bundestag is Germany's federal parliament, meeting in the Reichstag building in Berlin. Its official Mediathek provides live streams and an archive of debates in the plenary.
When Can I Watch?
The Bundestag works in set sitting weeks, with plenary debates often running from Wednesday to Friday. Berlin is usually seven hours ahead of Chicago, so afternoon debates arrive in the early morning. The Bundestag publishes its calendar. Schedules change, so confirm on the official site.
Why This Feed Matters?
The Reichstag's glass dome lets visitors look down on the chamber, a symbol that the people stand above their representatives. For a country that has lived through dictatorship, that openness is no small thing.
