Watch the Illinois General Assembly Live: Video Feed, Session Dates and How to Follow

What Is This Feed?
The Illinois General Assembly offers audio and video streams of the House and Senate through ilga.gov. Its 118 representatives and 59 senators meet at the Capitol in Springfield.
When Can I Watch?
NCSL lists Illinois as meeting year-round, and its 2026 session began on January 14. The spring months bring the heaviest work, and fall veto sessions can follow. Dates change each year, so confirm the current calendar on the official site.
Why This Feed Matters?
Illinois has a long history of public corruption cases, and that history gives its residents good reason to keep watching. Sunlight doesn't fix everything, but open sessions make it harder for big decisions to be settled out of sight.
