Watch Ireland's Parliament Live: Oireachtas TV, Dáil and Seanad
This feed plays on its own official site, so there is no player on this page. Use the link below to watch.
What Is This Feed?
The Oireachtas is Ireland's national parliament, made up of the Dáil, the lower house, and the Seanad, the upper house. Oireachtas TV streams both houses and parliamentary committees from Leinster House in Dublin.
When Can I Watch?
The houses usually sit from Tuesday to Thursday, with recesses around holidays and in summer. Leaders' Questions in the Dáil is a good place to start. Dublin is usually six hours ahead of Chicago. Schedules change, so confirm on the official site.
Why This Feed Matters?
Ireland won its independence through a long struggle for self-rule, and the Dáil first met in 1919 as a symbol of that claim. Watching it today is a reminder that self-government was hard won.
