What Is This Feed?
South Dakota Public Broadcasting streams legislative coverage from the Capitol in Pierre, where 70 representatives and 35 senators meet. The Legislature's site, sdlegislature.gov, is the place to start.
When Can I Watch?
The 2026 session ran from January 13 to March 30. South Dakota has short sessions: up to 40 days in odd-numbered years and 35 in even-numbered years. Dates change each year, so confirm the current calendar on the official site.
Why This Feed Matters?
Pierre is small and remote, and many South Dakotans live hours away. SDPB coverage makes a short session feel less distant, and gives ranching and tribal communities a window into decisions that can affect them.
