At Peace is Active, we believe that a peaceful society isn’t just the absence of conflict—it’s the presence of justice, transparency, and a committed citizenry. One of the most powerful ways to "practice peace" is by engaging in the democratic process and helping shape the institutions that uphold our laws.

This coming Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Wisconsin voters will head to the polls to elect a new Justice to the State Supreme Court.

🗳️ Voting Essentials: What You Need to Know

Peace takes work, and so does voting! Here is your quick checklist to ensure your voice is heard this Tuesday.

1. Registration (Yes, you can still register!)

While the deadline to register online or by mail has passed, Wisconsin offers Same-Day Registration. You can register right at your polling place on Election Day.

  • What you need: A valid Proof of Residence document (like a utility bill, bank statement, or

lease) showing your current name and address.

2. Bring Your Photo ID

To cast your ballot, you must present an acceptable photo ID. Common forms include:

  • Wisconsin Driver’s License

  • Wisconsin State ID Card

  • U.S. Passport

  • Military ID

  • Note: Your ID does not need to show your current address, but it must be unexpired (or expired after Nov 3, 2024).

3. Know Where to Go

Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. As long as you are in line by 8:00 PM, you have the right to vote!

  • Find your polling place: Visit MyVote.wi.gov to find your specific location and see a sample ballot.

Why This Matters for "Active Peace"

The Wisconsin Supreme Court makes decisions that affect our daily lives—from the air we breathe and the water we drink to the fairness of our elections. By showing up, we move from being passive observers to active architects of our community’s future.

See you at the polls on Tuesday! 🕊️🗳️
